Savate Club "Kobra" Marija Bistrica was founded on 23th May 1996 thanks to the interest of citizens for this sport. At the beginning the club had over a hundred trainees, but due to hard training and working methods and there was a decline of interest and only persistent ones remained, led by coach and club president Darko Milošić. Vice-president of the club is Berislav Mesar and secretary Marina Košec. The club currently has about 25 members who train twice a week.
Since the founding of the club members have competed in numerous competitions all Croatia, from which regularly they win medals in cadet, junior and senior category.
